In my not-so-humble opinion, all hopes by the Democratic Party to supplant Donald J Trump with one of their own old white men is inexplicable. Joe Biden is an old, quite often confused man with a dodgy record when it comes to race, gender equality or progressive politics. Bernie Sanders is all but a dyed-in-the-wool communist with ridiculous proposals about social welfare that the vast majority of poor US citizens are uninformed about and not interested in. But, though these are good reasons, the real reason why Donald Trump will flatten them in the November presidential election is that he and his grifter family are willing to burn down the whole US system to keep power while the Dems are busily having an intramural fight about "superdelegates" and sticking thousands of knives in women's backs, especially the women of colour within their ranks. All talk about "Bernie Bros" and "supporting the nominee" is proof that when push comes to shove, the Dems don't have a game plan and are biding their time until they create the next Barack Obama. What they will not admit is that Obama was a Black Swan - and those only come once in a generation.
